WATCH: Ken Paxton Lies On Dodging Debates, Grilled By Fox News On Non-Stop Campaign Leaks
AUSTIN, TX — Corrupt Ken Paxton was just caught lying on Fox News when asked why he hasn’t agreed to any debates with James Talarico, before being grilled on his campaign's non-stopped leaked audio from him trashing Trump to threatening to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Fox News hosts jumped on Paxton saying President Trump said he should debate Talarico and a nervous Paxton lied saying “We’ve been working on that for months with [Talarico]. We can never quite work out the details”
FACT CHECK: Talarico has agreed to over 5 debates beginning 85 days ago, including on Fox News, and Paxton has stopped responding. Paxton has not agreed to a single debate, despite saying he would earlier in the year. Talarico even personally called Paxton and he never responded.
Later in the interview, Paxton is grilled by the hosts over the “now five audio leaks of you” that Republicans have called “a slow-moving car crash.” Paxton, clearly sweating over his behind closed door comments with wealthy lobbyists, says – despite being caught with his own words – it “doesn't mean that's actually what I meant.”
Texas Democratic Party Spokesperson Ryan Martin said:
“Paxton is a liar and a coward hiding from the debate stage because he has no answers for his career of corruption. Paxton is blaming everyone but himself for his disastrous campaign and even Republicans are getting fed up. Texans deserve a debate.”
