Location: Houston, San Antonio, and Rio Grande Valley
Wages: $6000/month
The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is seeking highly motivated Regional Coordinated Campaign Directors for the Houston, San Antonio, and Rio Grande Valley areas. The Regional Coordinated Campaign Director will implement a regional strategy to engage and mobilize elected officials and key political stakeholders to do useful work elect Democrats. They will inform elected officials about how they can be part of the larger plan to flip the state, set goals and expectations for their role in that plan, and hold them accountable to the agreements they make.
The Regional Coordinated Campaign Director will also work with the Coordinated Campaign Director to construct and manage regional coordinated tables, to run a maximally efficient voter turnout program for the 2026 election.
Responsibilities:
Develop a political plan for the region with the Coordinated Campaign Director and politically aligned groups.
Build and maintain political relationships within the key counties in the region.
Build a comprehensive list of elected officials and candidates in the region that the coordinated campaign will work closely with in 2026.
Communicate with a broader group of political stakeholders about coordinated campaign activities to keep them updated.
Traveling across the state as needed.
Qualifications
· Demonstrated political and campaign experience in Texas.
· Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
· Proven ability to write for multiple audiences and translate complex information clearly.
· Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change rapidly.
· Fearlessness in building relationships and unconventional alliances.
· Comfortable working and interacting with stakeholders in an online environment, and in-person as needed.
· Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings when required

Deputy Voter Protection Director
Location: Austin, TX
Reports To: Voter Protection Director
Employment Type: Full-Time, Cycle (end no later than Dec. 15, 2026)
Start Date: October 13, 2025
Salary: $34.00/hr (approx. $70,000+ annual)
The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to serve as our Deputy Director of Voter Protection for the 2025–2026 cycle.
In this critical role, you’ll focus on the election administration side of TDP’s voter protection program—supporting the Democratic Primary, coordinating with local election leaders, and ensuring fair and accessible elections across Texas. You will train and support County Chairs, election workers, and other stakeholders through both the primary and general elections.
Responsibilities
Spearhead the team’s election administration monitoring and advocacy efforts, working with other departments at TDP, county party leaders, and volunteers to identify and advocate for opportunities to expand voter access & improve the voter experience, and mitigate & address anti-voter efforts & policies.
Support the Voter Protection Director in administering the Democratic Primary election throughout the state, including the candidate filing process, tracking primary finances, and training & supporting County Chairs in administering county primary elections.
Develop and deliver training to advance the team’s goals.
Track legislative and litigation developments related to voting and election law, and collaborate with the Voter Protection Director and legal counsel on how to address those developments.
Create accurate and digestible voter education content, in collaboration with other teams at TDP.
Maintain a strong knowledge base of voting laws, policies, and practices within Texas and national trends/best practices
Preferred Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school; the ideal candidate has appropriate bar membership permitting practice in Texas.
Organizing experience – The candidate has a track record of success in recruiting, training and managing volunteers, and escalating volunteers into leadership roles.
Experience using VAN.
Requirements
Minimum of three years of professional experience in law and/or policy & advocacy and/or campaigns.
Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills and pragmatic approach.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Election Code or policy guidance with the ability to translate that information into practical terms and actionable steps for a lay audience.
