“First Donald Trump announces a visit to Denton, and now JD Vance is in the Rio Grande Valley locking arms with Greg Abbott. Texans should take notice: national Republicans are in panic mode because they know Texas is no longer a state they can take for granted.

But a Dumb and Dumber trip with Greg Abbott won’t change the reality Texans are living every day. Families are paying more for gas, groceries and other necessities while Trump and his Republican allies continue to claim the economy is booming.

Texans deserve leaders focused on lowering costs and creating opportunity for working families, not politicians who come to Texas to defend an agenda that is making life harder for the people who live here.
