Top GOP Strategist Karl Rove Refuses to Back Ken Paxton, Rattling Off Long Record of Corruption
AUSTIN, TX — Top GOP strategist and former advisor to President George W. Bush Karl Rove just refused to back Ken Paxton, rattling off his decades-long record of corruption. Rove slammed Paxton as a bad candidate, citing his infidelity with “multiple girlfriends,” alleged bribery, and enriching himself in public office. He shared that his “personal favorite is the Uber account in the name of David P” that Paxton used to cover up trips he made to see his mistress, adding “I mean, can you make this shit up?” Rove went on to say that Senator Cruz told him “we're losing.” Later, when Rove was asked by an audience member if Paxton should debate James Talarico, Rove agreed, joining the chorus of Texas Republicans including Texas GOP Rep. Leach yesterday saying Paxton should debate Talarico. ### |
