There Was Supposed To Be A Texas Senate Debate Tonight. Even Fox News Is Asking, Where Is Ken Paxton?

AUSTIN, TX — Tonight, instead of watching a debate between James Talarico and Ken Paxton, Texas voters are forced to ask: Where is Ken Paxton, and what is he afraid of? Even Laura Ingraham on Fox News last night seemingly has had enough of Paxton’s excuses, saying: “Why not debate Talarico? I’ll do the debate!”

KXAN & Nexstar agreed to host a debate between Talarico and Paxton tonight, but Ken Paxton has refused all 5 debates that Talarico has agreed to starting nearly 90 days ago, including Fox News. Talarico even personally called Paxton, and he never responded.

Paxton instead has been lying and refusing to engage with outlets, despite saying he would debate earlier in the year.

Texas Democratic Party Spokesperson Ryan Martin said:

“A real Texan would stand their ground and debate. But Ken Paxton is a coward hiding from the debate stage because he has no answers for his career of corruption. Apparently even Fox News isn’t enough of a safe space for Ken, and are getting fed up with his disastrous campaign. Texans should be watching a debate tonight, but instead they are left to ask: what is Ken Paxton hiding from?”
