“JD Vance’s visit to Tyler makes one thing clear: Republicans in Washington DC are going all in because they know Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton are facing serious challenges. Texans are tired of the same failed leadership, and now DC is stepping in to protect its political puppets rather than address the problems Texans face every day.

James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa are offering Texans a real alternative, and Republicans know it. They can bring in Trump and the vice president, flood Texas with political appearances, and double down on the same old talking points, but no amount of help from Washington can erase the consequences of years of Republican leadership.

Texans deserve leaders who answer to them, not politicians who depend on their leaders in Washington to keep them in power. This November, voters have an opportunity to demand accountability and show a new course for Texas.”
