PAXTON’S PRICE HIKE: Diesel Hits Record High As Ken Paxton Stays Silent on Iran War He Backs
AUSTIN, TX — American diesel hit a new record high of $5.85 a gallon as the Ken Paxton-backed war with Iran continues and he remains silent on the surging costs hitting Texas farmers and families as a direct result of the war he supports.
Paxton said he was “very glad” when Trump began the war in Iran, but six months later as conflict rages on with no end in sight, leading to American servicemembers tragically losing their lives and higher costs for everyday goods, Paxton stays silent. A year ago, diesel in Texas cost ~$3.20, now the Paxton-backed war has diesel surged prices to $5.85 a gallon as he offers no plan to lower costs.
Texas Democratic Party Spokesperson Ryan Martin:
"Every time you pay more at the pump you can thank Ken Paxton. Diesel just hit a record high of a whopping $5.85 a gallon because of a reckless war of choice that Ken Paxton said he was ‘very glad’ was started. Texas farmers can’t survive under diesel prices this high, and families everywhere are going to be paying the Paxton price hike because he refuses to stand up for Texans.”
