NRSC Chair Repeatedly Refuses To Say If Ken Paxton Has The Character To Serve In The Senate
AUSTIN, TX — On Meet The Press, NRSC Chair Senator Tim Scott repeatedly refused to defend scandal-plagued Corrupt Ken Paxton and dodged when asked if he believes Paxton has the character to serve in the U.S. Senate.
Kristen Welker pressed Scott on Paxton’s record, saying: “Paxton has faced allegations of bribery, fraud, abuse of power, he was impeached by his own party. [...] Why do you now believe Ken Paxton has the character to serve in the Senate?”
In his response, Scott refused to even address Paxton by name, prompting Welker to press again “But does Paxton have the character to serve?” – but Scott continued to dodge.
Reminder this is what the NRSC has said about their own candidate Corrupt Ken Paxton in the past year:
On Paxton’s divorce on biblical grounds, NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez said, “What Ken Paxton has put his family through is truly repulsive and disgusting.”
The NRSC released a full ad slamming Paxton’s record on crime with homicide hitting a three decade high, rape increasing 40%, and him letting sex traffickers walk free while he was in office.
On violent crime increasing under Paxton - “Ken Paxton’s incompetence as Texas’ chief law enforcement officer has allowed crime to run rampant across the Lone Star State. Texans deserve a leader who can keep their communities safe, not one whose mismanagement has made things worse.”
On Paxton allegedly committing mortgage fraud as he continues to enrich himself in public office - “A lot of people who trust Ken Paxton get lied to, so it isn’t shocking to learn he is also cheating on his taxes and personal finances. Ken Paxton’s betrayals of the public trust just keep coming.”
