LEAKED AUDIO: Ken Paxton Trashes Trump & GOP Convention Behind Closed Doors With D.C. Lobbyists [NY Times]
AUSTIN, TX — In stunning new bombshell leaked audio from the NY Times, Ken Paxton in a private meeting with D.C. lobbyists was caught trashing President Trump and saying his GOP midterm convention hurt his campaign.
Texas Democratic Party Spokesperson Ryan Martin said:
“Ken Paxton is loyal to nobody but himself. With D.C. lobbyists behind closed doors Paxton trashed Trump, and said he is dragging him down. This is embarrassing for the President. Texans know that Paxton is a cheater, who only serves his own corrupt self interests, and now Trump gets to experience it firsthand.”

Moderator: “Do you feel like–and all these guys know I’m a huge President Trump fan–but do you feel like he’s a little bit of a drag?”
KEN PAXTON: “So, to be honest with you, the numbers couldn’t get–when we did that convention, it dropped our numbers; everybody’s numbers dropped. Right now? Yeah. It’s not good. I wish there was something we could do to turn that around, but obviously nothing.”
