Ken Paxton Mistakes Cypress, TX for Cyprus, the European Country
AUSTIN, TX — Oops! Ken Paxton seems to be spending too much time in Europe, because he doesn’t know the difference between Cypress, Texas and the island on the other side of the Atlantic.

Paxton posted saying he wants to “keep Texas, Texas” while misspelling the name of the community he will be traveling to for his next rally as “Cyprus” instead of “Cypress,” the community just outside of Houston in Harris County.
In response, Texas Democratic Party Chair Kendall Scudder said:
“Don’t Europe our Texas, Ken. You would know it’s Cypress if you spent any time here, instead of gallivanting on luxury vacations overseas. Texans are sick of corrupt politicians who can’t even spell the names of the communities they seek to represent, and it's exactly why they will be kicking Paxton to the curb in November.”
