John Oliver Eviscerates Corrupt Ken Paxton In Brutal 10 Minute Takedown of his Decades of Scandals & Selling Out Texans
AUSTIN, TX — Corrupt Ken Paxton faced a brutal segment from HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver where for 10 minutes he recounted Paxton’s history of scandals and selling out Texans.
The HBO host recounts Ken Paxton’s decades worth of corruption, from his impeachment by his own party, to his enriching himself in public office and acquiring 15 properties, stealing a fellow lawyer’s $1,000 pen, literally running away from questions on the campaign trail, and his own staff reporting him to the FBI for “using his office to benefit a wealthy donor.”
The segment goes on to share Republicans’ many critiques of Paxton, from the NRSC’s own ads against him to GOP senators saying “To call Paxton ethically challenged is to call Jeffrey Dahmer suffering from an eating disorder.” Oliver concludes by showing an interview with a Texas voter describing Paxton as a “career politician who could possibly be a used car salesman” and noting that voters shouldn’t buy what Paxton is selling.
