AUSTIN, TX — As foreign beef floods the American market hurting Texas cattlemen and tariffs cost Texans an estimated $37 billion, Ken Paxton is holding high-dollar fundraisers with Trump and refusing to stand up for Texans.
Paxton, despite meeting with Trump multiple times to raise money from high-dollar donors, has so far declined to use his audience with the president to take a stand against the disastrous trade war hurting Texas families and recent foreign beef import deal crushing cattlemen.
The Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas blasted Trump’s plan, saying it is "extremely discouraged” by the White House relying on foreign beef instead of Texas cattle and calling it an unsustainable reckless strategy. The foreign beef deal compounds pain already being felt from Paxton-backed DOGE cuts that caused New World Screwworm cases to skyrocket.

“Corrupt Ken Paxton is more focused on raising money for himself than helping our Texas cattlemen and farmers being crushed by tariffs and foreign beef imports. Paxton has no plan to lower the cost of beef or stop the New World Screwworm ravaging Texas herds because of the DOGE cuts he backed. If Paxton cared about higher costs, he would be using his audience with the president to be a voice for Texans and stand up to these disastrous tariffs and backwards foreign beef deal – but the only thing Paxton cares about is lining his own pockets.”
