Texas Democratic Party Chairman Kendall Scudder Announces TDP’s New Data Director
AUSTIN, Texas – Chairman Scudder's new era at the Texas Democratic Party is about building a new more sustainable organization. To truly understand the people of Texas, he knows how important it is for data to shape the party’s strategy for 2026 and beyond. Chairman Scudder is excited to announce that Ethan Lipka will be promoted as the new Data Director at the Texas Democratic Party.

If we want to be successful, we have to constantly grow, adapt, and build on those data successes to ensure a built-in advantage in future elections. That’s why I’m proud to announce Ethan Lipka, a seasoned member of our Data team, as our new Data Director. Ethan brings years of nationally recognized data experience to this leadership role and will be a key part of our strategy as we build on our momentum to win in 2026—not just to change Texas, but the entire country,” said Texas Democratic Party Chairman Kendall Scudder.
Ethan Lipka is a dedicated Democrat who has been knocking on thousands of doors since he graduated from high school. He started at the TDP as the Data Scientist in 2023 and has led several major data projects at the TDP, including the Analyst Institute's Published Vote By Mail program, and a revamp of the TDP targeting system. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue ensuring that the TDP data team provides the best data science and VAN support of any group in the country.
