BREAKING: House Republicans Pass Trump’s Billionaire Benefitting Bill That Screws The Working Class

AUSTIN, Texas – In the early morning hours, after getting bullied by their master, Donald Trump, the Republican-ruled House of Representatives turned its back on working families and passed their “Big Bad Bill.” This legislation guts Medicaid and SNAP for over 7 million Texans and will raise the costs for groceries and healthcare for working families. While working Texans are struggling to make ends meet under Trump tariffs, this legislation will let the ultra-wealthy walk away with more than $65,000 in tax breaks and add $3.8 trillion to the national deficit.

Texas Democratic Party Chairman Kendall Scudder issued the following statement:

“With costs already sky-high, the billionaire boot-lickers in the House of Representatives just passed Trump’s disastrous tax agenda that screws over working families and lines the pockets of his billionaire buddies. 

“If they were just going to add $4 trillion to the deficit, what was even the point of all these “DOGE cuts” other than to kneecap the people who depend on those programs? This bill just lines the gravy train for the top 10% and passes the costs down onto the rest of us.

“Shame on Representative Arrington for sponsoring this bill, and every worthless Texas Republican politician who voted to screw over working families. The Texas Democratic Party will continue to fight to make life more affordable for folks who work for a living.”
