Texas Democratic Party Honors The Legacy Of Dolores Huerta

“Dolores Huerta dedicated her life to reminding us that our voices matter, that our rights are worth fighting for, and that real change happens when people come together and refuse to endure injustices in silence.

It was an honor to welcome her to our State Convention in Corpus Christi four months ago, where she called on our community to organize, participate, and make our voices heard at the ballot box. Her message remains as relevant as ever: our democracy is stronger when everyone has a voice and everyone has a seat at the table.

The most meaningful way to honor Dolores is to carry forward her message, by supporting one another, helping our neighbors regardless of race or religion, and ensuring that our voices are heard in every election.

We will honor her by continuing her struggle and echoing her words: "Every moment is an organizing opportunity, every person a potential activist, every minute a chance to change the world."
