AUSTIN, TX — Corrupt Ken Paxton is once again being rebuked by his own party as Thomas R. Phillips, the former Republican chief justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, announced in the Beaumont Enterprise that he will be voting for James Talarico.

Justice Phillips, who won four elections as a Republican for chief justice of the Texas Supreme Court, warned “Paxton’s longstanding reputation will embarrass Texas in ways our state simply cannot afford.”

Phillips urged fellow Republicans to put principle ahead of party loyalty, invoking President John F. Kennedy’s warning that “sometimes, party loyalty demands too much.” He called on Republicans to join him in backing James Talarico, who he says will “serve this great state with dignity and honor.”

In the past week, Corrupt Ken Paxton has now been rejected by:

  • The former Executive Director of the Texas Republican Party, Wayne Thorburn, said he will be voting for James Talarico as a “man of individual character.”

  • The brother of President George W. Bush, Neil Bush announced he is voting for Talarico.

  • Charley Wilkison, the former head of CLEAT, the largest police union in Texas, said he is voting for James Talarico for his “vision of unity” and “to take on the corrupt.”

  • Former Texas Republican House Speaker Rep. Dade Phelan declared he will not support scandal-plagued Corrupt Ken Paxton.

  • Thomas J. Henry, one of Texas most famous personal injury lawyers, and previously one of Paxton’s biggest donors is now switching sides to vote for Talarico because he will prioritize “safety” and “good economics for Texas and our country.”
