Vikki Goodwin Joins Texas Together Coordinated Campaign with Meaningful Investment

DALLAS, TX — The Texas Democratic Party today announced that Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor Vikki Goodwin has officially joined Texas Together, the party's historic coordinated campaign, with a significant investment to strengthen efforts to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in November.

Goodwin joins U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico, gubernatorial nominee Gina Hinojosa, and Democratic candidates across Texas in a unified campaign focused on expanding voter outreach, organizing communities, and building a better future for our state. Texas Together is the largest coordinated campaign in Texas Democratic history, bringing together candidates, the state party, and allied organizations to maximize resources and reach voters in every corner of the state.

"Texans deserve leaders who work together to solve problems, not politicians who put power ahead of people," said Vikki Goodwin. "I'm proud to join Texas Together because every race matters, every community matters, and every voter deserves a campaign that's fighting for a more affordable, more accountable, and more hopeful Texas. By working as one team, we can build the momentum needed to win across the state."

To kick off her participation in Texas Together, Goodwin will join volunteers at the Texas Together Austin Headquarters (3908 Avenue B, Austin) today Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. CT, where she will help launch a phone bank encouraging Texans to get involved in the campaign. Volunteers will identify Democratic supporters, share information about the Democratic ticket, and hear directly from voters about the issues affecting their families and communities.

"Vikki Goodwin understands that winning in Texas takes teamwork," said Kendall Scudder, Chair of the Texas Democratic Party. "Her leadership and investment strengthen our shared commitment to reaching more voters, supporting candidates up and down the ballot, and delivering the change Texans are ready for. Together, we're building the strongest coordinated campaign our state has ever seen."
