Texas Democratic Party to Open South Texas Regional Office in Eagle Pass on Wednesday
Dallas Fort-Worth, Texas – The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) will open its new South Texas regional office in Eagle Pass on Wednesday, February 4, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:00 p.m. at 1299 Main St., Suite A. TDP Chairman Kendall Scudder and State Representative Eddie Morales will attend the event, alongside local leaders, candidates, and community members. The opening will be followed by a candidate meet-and-greet at 7:00 p.m. at the International Center for Trade.
“Opening a regional office in Eagle Pass sends a clear message: Texas Democrats are committed to showing up and taking no vote for granted,” said TDP Chairman Kendall Scudder. “The Texas Democratic Party is executing a 254 county strategy, and our new offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Amarillo, and Eagle Pass will be reflective of that mission to build a working-class army in every corner of this state.”
The Eagle Pass office will be staffed by South Texas native Juan Moreno, who is the Regional Party Services Manager. After the ribbon cutting, attendees will gather for a candidate meet-and-greet, highlighting the Party’s continued focus on building relationships, engaging communities, and laying the groundwork for success in the 2026 elections.
About the Texas Democratic Party
Founded in 1846, Texas Democrats continue the march towards re-building a state that acts upon its beliefs - fair wages, affordable housing, universal childcare, a right to accessible healthcare, a healthy environment, and safe communities. A fair shot for all - that’s what drove Democrats to build this great state, and that is what drives us today. A belief that no matter who you are, what you look like, where you come from, or who you love if you work hard in Texas, you can make it. Texas Democrats have never shied away from big, bold ideas. From Lyndon B. Johnson to Henry B. Gonzalez to Barbara Jordan to Ann Richards and today’s Democratic champions, Texas Democrats will fight to uphold the landmark programs, policies, and institutions that make Texas work for all Texans.
