Justice Alito Unsurprisingly Allows Donald Trump’s New Congressional Map To Be Used

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Democratic Party Chairman Kendall Scudder released the following statement after Supreme Court Justice Alito stayed Donald Trump’s and Greg Abbott’s unconstitutional, rigged map:

“Justice Alito is a Justice who has done nothing but erode public trust in the US Supreme Court by serving as a Trump rubber stamp. The Governor and his cronies made clear their intentions when they cited Trump’s DOJ letter, which put race at the center of their congressional redraw. The full court will now get to see how these maps were clearly drawn based on race. We look forward to the Supreme Court recognizing that you don’t mess with Texas Democrats.”
