Greg Abbott Admits “No One” Has “Any Idea” What’s Going on with Data Centers in the State He Currently Leads
DALLAS, TX — During a campaign stop in Lubbock on Friday, Greg Abbott admitted that “no one” has “any idea” about what’s happening with data centers in Texas – the state he’s currently in charge of – and the one he thinks he deserves to lead for four more years. Abbott also said there’s been “no level of accountability,” “no communication,” and “a complete lack of transparency” around data centers, and that the state still doesn’t have information from a vast majority of companies building them. It’s a stunning admission that once again begs the question – where the hell has Greg Abbott been?
“Who’s in charge here, Greg? You’ve been in public office for more than 30 years, including 12 as the last governor, and now you’re telling Texans you have no idea what’s happening in your own state? That’s not just an abdication of the duties you swore to uphold – that’s an admission of your failure. You don’t get to give data centers some of the largest tax breaks in the nation and vow to turn Texas into an AI epicenter, then shrug your shoulders and play dumb once Texas communities start asking legitimate questions. If you don’t know what’s going on in Texas, you’re in for a rude awakening come November, ” said Texas Democratic Party Spokesman Jacob Long.
