★ RUNOFF ELECTION: JAN 31, 2026 ★
Finish the Fight
for District 9
Veteran. Union President. Working Class Texan.
About Taylor
Taylor Rehmet is a union president, Air Force veteran, and lifelong working-class Texan running for State Senate to fight for public schools, affordable housing, and real results for everyday people. Raised in Garland by a working family, Taylor learned early the dignity of hard work—holding hands-on jobs before serving his country in the U.S. Air Force and later working as a machinist. He went on to become a union leader, elected president at both the local and state levels of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, where he fought for better pay, safer workplaces, and a real voice for workers.
Taylor isn’t running to play politics—he’s running to put workers, veterans, and families first, and to make government work for the people it’s meant to serve.
He knows what it means to work for a living.
He isn't a career politician.

I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath didn’t end when I left the
Air Force. It wasn’t a formality. For me, it was a promise. A promise to stand up for this country, for its
people, and to never walk away when the fight gets hard. I’m running because working Texans deserve
someone who still believes in keeping that promise.
— Taylor Rehmet
