On National Tell The Truth Day, Ken Paxton Should Stop Hiding The Truth About His Epstein-Style Sweetheart Deal And Release The Hoffman Files
AUSTIN, TX — Today is National Tell The Truth Day, and Texans are demanding Ken Paxton release the Hoffman Files and tell the truth about the Epstein-style sweetheart plea deal that let admitted child molester Adam Hoffman out of jail in less than 30 days.
Ken Paxton has repeatedly dodged questions and inquiries over his handling of the controversial plea deal which did not require Hoffman to register as a sex offender, leading to protests and outrage.
The outcome of the Hoffman plea deal was so lenient that the mother of Hoffman’s victim said “Ken Paxton [...] bent the system to protect [Hoffman] instead of protecting my son. [...] That is corruption.” Local Republican elected officials called Paxton’s deal “a slap on the wrist and a spit in the face to the victim and his family.”
Here are some of the questions Texans are demanding Ken Paxton needs to answer as he continues to hide the Hoffman files:
Should Adam Hoffman be registered as a sex offender in Texas? Why did Paxton not require him to register as a sex offender, even though Nebraska did?
Why did Paxton’s office initially offer only one day of jail time for Adam Hoffman? An offer so outrageous the Republican judge overseeing the case said: “One day. Seriously? Somebody has to sell me on the wisdom of it.”
Why is Ken Paxton refusing to let the public see the internal communication behind this outrageous plea deal? Why keep the emails, documents, and records hidden if he has nothing to hide?
Why is Paxton not following the precedent set with the release of the Epstein Files and being transparent with the case if he has nothing to hide?
How can Texans trust Ken Paxton to protect our children when he hides the truth on what happened in the Adam Hoffman case?
