Texas Democratic Party Urges Fort Bend County Voters to Stay in Line and Vote a Full Ballot

DALLAS/FORT WORTH – The Texas Democratic Party is urging voters in Fort Bend County to demand a regular ballot if they are in line at or before 7PM CDT. All polling places in Fort Bend County are experiencing issues with the system used to check in voters. An update to the system is currently taking place.
“We are urging voters in Fort Bend County to get in line and stay in line before 7PM CDT and to demand a regular ballot,” said Amanda Lugo, Voter Protection Director for the Texas Democratic Party. “Please do not leave the polling place without voting. If you are not provided a regular ballot, you have the right to vote on a provisional ballot.”
Fort Bend County utilizes a countywide voting method meaning if you are registered to vote in Fort Bend, you can vote at any polling place in the county. If you live in Fort Bend County, you can find your closest polling place here.
