For the first time in Texas history, there is a Democrat running for every single race on the ballot. This is because our Texas Challengers believe that every voter in every community across the state deserves a choice. 

The Texas Challengers program has recruited more than 100 candidates who are running in districts that have gone uncontested for years. Our candidates are not career politicians. They are teachers, veterans, small business owners, and working parents who not only understand the issues facing their communities, but live them every day.

Across the country, Democrats have flipped seats that were once seen as unwinnable, showing that when candidates show up – and voters engage – change is possible. That same momentum is building in Texas. This cycle alone, we’ve already won hard races in special elections, and we are continuing to expand that progress across the state. The Texas Challengers are broadening the map and building a foundation for long term success in overlooked areas.

We are working to raise $100,000 to fund this outreach.
