Austin, TX – This week, the Houston Chronicle Editorial Board slammed Republican Sen. Ted Cruz for trying to take credit for assisting with the recovery from Hurricane Harvey saying, “when it came to the hard work of bringing home billions to rebuild Texas, Cruz sat that one out.” [Houston Chronicle, August 8, 2018]

“Ted Cruz doesn’t lift a finger to help anyone but himself. The fact is, Texas Republicans failed to give the adequate resources for Hurricane Harvey victims to rebuild their lives and refused to tap the Rainy Day Fund.”
