Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, Larry David, Host Seth Meyers, and Other Special Guests to Host “Fundraiser About Something” for the Texas Democratic Party on Friday, October 23 at 7 PM CT (VIP reception at 6:30 PM CT)
AUSTIN, Texas — Members of the cast of Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Larry David are reuniting to help the Texas Democratic Party in our quest to turn Texas blue.
With massive turnout in the first week of early voting, a completely changed electorate in the state of Texas, and Texas Democrats poised to win up and down the ballot, members of the cast of Seinfeld know it’s all hands on deck to turn Texas blue. Every vote counts because Texas is the biggest battleground state in the country.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, Larry David, and host Seth Meyers will pick their favorite Seinfeld episodes and discuss them.
Julia Louis Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Larry David issued the following statement:
“Texas is a battleground state, period. We knew that we had to reunite for something special and the movement on the ground for Texas Democrats up and down the ballot is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Texans are getting out to vote in droves and showing the world that Texas has never been a red state, it’s been a non-voting state. We couldn’t be more thrilled to host a ‘fundraiser about something’ for a terrific organization like the Texas Democratic Party, who are building the movement necessary to turn Texas blue in 14 days.”
Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa issued the following statement:
“The Texas Democratic Party could not be more thrilled or excited to have members from the cast of Seinfeld reunite to turn Texas blue. The eyes of the world are on us. We’re building the movement necessary to be victorious in 14 days. Texas is the biggest battleground state in the country and if we do the work, keep the faith, and turn out every voter, we will win this state.
“Texas Democrats are rising. This is our moment. With unprecedented turnout in the first week of early voting and with our talented, diverse staff, we have created the infrastructure necessary to flip Texas. Everything is on the line. If we win Texas, we change the face of American politics for a generation. Because of your work, we will win the White House, take out John Cornyn, flip several Congressional seats, take back the Texas House and win hundreds of local elections across the state. Our time is now. We need all hands on deck to get the job done.”
