Austin, TX — Before Mike Pence arrived in Dallas yesterday amid a sharp spike in coronavirus cases across the state, Texas Democrats held a press call to slam the Trump Administration and Governor Abbott’s failed pandemic response, which has left Texas communities reeling from an “apocalyptic” spike in coronavirus cases.
Texas has seen the fastest growing rate of coronavirus cases in the country, record hospitalizations, and ICU units in major cities reaching full capacity. Yet, Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Greg Abbott, and John Cornyn still decided to go through with this event, with over 1000 attendees — the majority of which declined to wear masks.
One can only wonder how many more people got sick because of Pence’s reckless Texas visit.
